A walk on the Ponte Vecchio
After having crossed the river again walking on the Ponte Vecchio, the oldest bridge of Florence with its 43 jewellery shops, let’s go to the elegant square of Santa Trinita, and visit the fashion museum of Salvatore Ferragamo where you can see a collection of shoes made by the “shoemaker of dreams” who was convinced that there is no limit to beauty and comfort, as we do.
Santa Maria Novella Church
A short walk will take you to the square of Santa Maria Novella, the church is one of the richest and most elegant in town. Founded by the Dominicans in the middle ages today is also well known for its Pharmacie, the oldest in Florence. You will visit the amazing place where perfumes, soaps, spirits, herbs and remedies are still made according to the old recipes of the monks. It’s here that the tour ends, not before having enjoyed a good cup of tea in the tea room of the Pharmacy of Santa Maria Novella or having tasted a glass of Chianti wine in a nice Enoteca.
